Meet the Team
Carrie—Hawkeye with a Ponytail
Carrie joined the crew after graduating from the dental assisting program at Lane Community College. Carrie is our Template monitor and she is also a Certified Dental Assistant. Her versatility and adaptability help her to flow between various roles in our practice effortlessly. Her proficiency with accessing insurance information helps to boost the level of care and expediency of claims processing for our patients.
Carrie also enjoys spending time with her family at her children’s various sporting activities. Carrie loves to travel and has been to many countries and states but has not checked all of her destinations off her list.
Kathy-Victor of Versatility
As our office administrator Kathy is the perfect blend of assertiveness and professionalism. She is our dental implant and Exploring Excellence Study Club Coordinator. She can help you with anything from scheduling your procedures to communicating with your general dentist about the various stages of your treatment.
Kathy is very active in community service organizations and a constant support of her son’s academic and sports activities. She is a scrap-booking enthusiast and enjoys spending any free time she has in her scrap booking room.
Nanci—Kindness Incarnate
With an instinct for perceiving others’ needs, Nanci gracefully supports patients throughout their treatment process. After taking a family sabbatical, she has resumed her work as a surgical assistant and we are honored to have her on our team. Nanci is her family’s 5th generation in Coburg and is active in the community and her children’s sports and extra-curricular activities. She and her husband are in the process of remodeling their 130 year-old house, bringing their home into the current millenia. They are also considering updating their modes of transportation as well—there really isn’t a good place to park a horse in the city these days.
Tracey--Conqueror of Chaos
A team-member who’s been there from the start, Tracey is the Lead Assistant at the practice. She oversees ordering of clinical materials and is responsible for compliance of OSHA regulations. Tracey has a sharp eye for detail and cares for our patients in a competent and compassionate manner. She has developed a sixth sense for anticipating and detecting Dr. Welch’s needs while assisting him in clinical treatment. We call it Timopathy.
Tracey lives with her husband near Eugene where they enjoy the serenity of nature and raising animals.
Becky
With a strong background in assisting various types of dental procedures, Becky joined our team in 2005 and has been a wonderful support for patients and team alike. A self-proclaimed “country girl” with a love for Jeeps, Harleys and Dachshunds, Becky fares consistently well in the high-tech clinical environment at NWOMIS. With a smile that never leaves her face and a clever saying always on the tip of her tongue, Becky keeps everyone’s spirits high. If you need a helping hand, a laugh, or just want to ride on the back of a custom hog, Becky’s your choice.
Cheryl
We utilize Cheryl’s years of customer service experience here in our office. She greets everyone that comes through our doors with a smile, and is always eager to hear a great story when someone wants to share one.
Cheryl’s home (in the outlying Eugene area) was built by her husband’s family, when they arrived after a long journey on the wagon train during the early to mid 1800’s. If you are here during the summer you may see some of the amazing flower arrangements that she brings from her beautiful yard where she spends most of her time (weather permitting). Cheryl is very involved in her local community including fundraisers and preparing meals for Ag in the classroom. Her love of travel has taken her on many exciting adventures with her numerous traveling companions.
Brandy
Brandy assists Dr. Welch with an outgoing and energetic attitude. She knew that she wanted to be in the dental field when she graduated high school. Her can do attitude helped her join our team.
Brandy’s love of sports and the outdoors drives her to never turn down exciting new challenges. During the fall she can be found at most football games cheering for our Ducks and soaking up the exciting atmosphere. When the sun is out and she is not at work she can usually be spotted soaking up the sun or enjoying time at the lake.
Cindy
Cindy joined our team with previous oral surgery experience from her native Costa Rica. She has the great talent of being bilingual and helps us translate to our Spanish–speaking patients. She is great at putting our patients at ease with her wonderful smile.
Cindy enjoys bowling with her husband and his family, every once and a while she even gets a strike. Afterward she can be found at some of her favorite restaurants around town, which include Italian and Mexican food. She loves to travel especially back home to Costa Rica where she enjoys visiting waterfalls, mountains, and beaches with her family which is where she is the happiest. Cindy spends her free time with her husband and their two dogs, fixing up the house, working outside in the yard, and of course being a couch potato. Cindy’s faith makes her who she is today.
Shiloh
Shiloh joined our team one week after graduating from the Dental Assisting program at Lane Community College. She is very versatile in our office. You may see her during your surgery or she could be the person who answers the phone and takes your appointment.
Shiloh is very involved in her church and her family is the center of her life. She enjoys reading and may grill you about your book if you bring one in for your visit. Shiloh enjoys fitness activities especially riding her bike to and from work in the nice weather.
